Responsibilities:

Analyze architectural drawings and project documents to determine the scope and requirements of potential projects.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for time, labor, and materials.
Utilize electronic estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to clarify project details.
Review and evaluate historical data to enhance the accuracy of estimates.
Conduct site visits as needed to gather additional project information.
Ensure all estimates align with company standards, industry best practices, and client expectations.
Maintain and update a comprehensive database of materials, labor costs, and project data.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role, preferably within construction.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
Familiarity with electronic estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam) is a significant advantage.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of industry-specific materials, labor, and construction methods.
Certification or training in cost estimation or construction management is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50+ lbs.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions, including exposure to moderate/high noise levels, dust, and confined spaces.
Regular, physical on-site attendance is required.
Ability to sit for extended periods while working on estimates.
Travel to project sites for inspections and evaluations.
Manual dexterity for using tools and equipment related to the estimation process.

Environmental Conditions:

Office-based work, with site visits requiring adherence to safety standards.
Travel to various work sites.
Work in varying temperatures, both indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather conditions.
Exposure to moderate/high noise levels and airborne particles.
May work in confined spaces or from high heights.
