FLOORING INSTALLER

Salary: $25-$35 Hourly (Compensation Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:

Install various flooring types, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, and tile
Utilize skills in other trades to enhance flooring installations
Conduct routine visual inspections to ensure quality workmanship
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Report directly to the Project Manager and collaborate effectively within a team

Qualifications:

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate driver’s license prior to employment
3-5 year combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
Successful completion of a 10 hour OSHA safety course
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in the building trades
Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Experience in other trades is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team player with excellent time management skills
Prior customer service experience is valued

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50+ lbs
Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions, including exposure to moderate/high noise levels, dust, and confined spaces
Regular, physical on-site attendance is required

Environmental Conditions:

Travel to various work sites daily
Work in varying temperatures, both indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather conditions
Exposure to moderate/high noise levels and airborne particles
May work in confined spaces or from high heights
